Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Nigel founded Fifo Capital and worked as a pilot-Franchisee before establishing the wider Franchise structure across New Zealand and Australia. He has a hands-on operational role in Fifo Capital International Ltd. His experience includes: Managing Director for a new technology company; General Manager and owner of a chain of childcare centres; owner of a national finance brokering company; Managing Director and owner of Australasia’s largest independently owned bookkeeping business with more than 175 franchises; Business Finance Manager for BNZ Finance Limited, and; Business Finance Acquisition Manager for Bank of New Zealand.

Nigel is the owner and CEO of Covisory Partners Ltd, a boutique firm specialising in International and New Zealand Tax and Advisory. Nigel is recognised as New Zealand’s leading expert in taxation, commercial advisory and trust services. He is a Chartered Accountant, tax author and presenter with over 25 years’ experience and works with many high-profiled New Zealanders living locally or abroad. Nigel works closely with Fifo Capital International focusing specifically on business structure, international tax efficiencies and financial legal matters.
Group Content Manager
Will started his working career as a banker before joining a national retailer as their Marketing Manager where he established a successful Direct Marketing operation. Following this experience, he entered the world of Advertising in both Australia and New Zealand, working across many industry sectors for leading Ad and DM agencies, including: Saatchi & Saatchi, Colenso, Ogilvy, McCann-Erickson, DMB&B, Lavender, Frank and Robbins Brandt Richter. Now with Fifo Capital, Will puts his expertise to work to translate finance-jargon into everyday sensible-speak that engages with the business community.
Group Office Manager
Eliza ensures the smooth day to day running of the Fifo Capital head franchisor office. Her responsibilities within Fifo Capital cover financial management functions, including invoicing and supplier management, as well as country Master Franchisee support. Much of Eliza’s daily work is acting in a coordination support role of Master Franchisee needs in respect to marketing and administrative requirements. Before joining Fifo Capital, Eliza was living in the United Kingdom with her previous role being key support to L’Oreal top-level management.

John is a recognised leader in the Invoice Finance industry having specialised in the industry for the past 13 years. John has succeeded in the finance sector for the past 30 years principally in sales roles in the likes of HSBC and Bibby Financial Services where he most recently established the New Zealand operations. John is passionate about the Fifo Capital business having recently worked in Fifo Capital International operations and has supported the business with referrals since inception in 2005. John is committed to supporting Fifo Capital business partners in helping them achieve their own business aspirations while developing a national network of intermediaries who like the support of a trusted transactional funder for their clients.
An experienced, knowledgeable and well-networked Credit Management and Debt Purchase Business specialist with more than 25 years’ experience in the European credit management industry, focusing on debt collection and acquisition of pools of distressed consumer loans and credit cards. Staale was one of the founders of Aktiv Kapital ASA (now PRA group Europe), and a member of the Board of Directors from 2001 to 2006. From June 2006 to May 2008 he held a senior Executive Director position at Morgan Stanley as their Head of Principal Investments, Europe. Since June 2008 he has been the CEO of Experto Credite Ltd where he was the co-founder.
Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
After beginning his career in purchasing, Declan went into business for himself developing 2 outlets in 2 different retail fields in the England and Ireland and taking them to a point where he could successfully sell them on. The final sale was prompted by his research into Fifo Capital and his decision that it offered the opportunities for growth and flexibility that he required to make use of his skills and experience from 15 years of managing all facets of business trade, from finances to staff management. Declan has also over 10 years of sales experience. These changes coincided with his recent marriage to Agnes who is both his life partner and partner in the business. Agnes brings a background in accounts and administration in a number of companies following on from her degree in Banking and Finance.
Neil joined Fifo Capital Australia Pty as the company’s National Franchise Manager in November 2008 before commencing his current role in early 2013. His experience extends across 17 years working in the UK, New Zealand and Australia for such companies as; Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS, UK), Lock Finance (NZ) and Scottish Pacific Benchmark. Neil won the RBS Invoice Finance Outstanding Achiever Award in 2006.
Colin joined Fifo Capital in November 2005 as one of the first Fifo Capital franchisees. A year later, he took on his current position. Prior to this, he has over 30 years hands-on experience financing businesses and developing finance solutions for companies in growth mode. This includes many years with UDC Finance, the leading financier in New Zealand.
